A 6.1km fun run / walk from Perisher Valley to Charlotte Pass commencing 08:00 19th April. Free entry. Register at Eyre Kiosk (Perisher Gap) from 07:30. Escort vehicles provided by NPWS. First Aid by Perisher Volunteer Ski Patrol, fully insured. Finish at Charlotte Pass (the Chalet will be open). Evening bbq at the Perisher Fire Station.

Following The Kokoda Spirit philosophy, our Toowoomba Challenge is a team event, so you must enter a team of 2, 3 or 4. There are 3 Checkpoints along the 30km course. There is no spectator or Support Crew access at these points. Participants should carry any food, water or supplies they need. This is an 80 km team endurance event around the Serra Range, part of the majestic Grampians National Park. The course features a wonderful array of terrain and conditions from Australian bush to sandstone mountains. Official checkpoints are manned approximately every 12-15 kms with rest and refreshment opportunities. At the end of each day, your crew will take you back to prearranged accommodation for the night. Your team may take one, two or three days to complete this adventure. A very friendly, well organised long distance event that takes in the best sights and native sounds of the local area. Only 1.5 hours drive from Sydney, the "King" travels from the quiet rural village of Cambewarra(near Nowra - South Coast NSW) over Mt Scanzi to the historic township of Kangaroo Valley. *Transport provided from finish to the start Runners of all levels are welcome in this locally run event (since 1966). A brilliant event, not to be missed if you are clocking up the marathons or an Ultra runner who wants to give a staged-race a go. This event is not for the faint-hearted! And if you don't like a challenge or hills, don't bother. The event is run in three stages, each 42.2km, run over three consecutive days. August 10th. 40k/20k/10k/5k Trail Run at Emu Creek Extreme Retreat. The third of four races in the FNQ Trail Running series this looped race follows a fairly well constructed forestry road that meanders to create probably the best rainforest circuit in the north, according to Paul Curtis’ book “The Travellers’ Guide to North Queensland Cairns and Surrounds”.
